Rosa's thesis is a critique
of World War II nostalgia in recent novels from the UK and the Commonwealth.
Some of the authors she deals with are Ian MacEwan ("Atonement")
and Zadie Smith ("White Teeth"). The girls' names are Sadie and
Cora. They were born on Aug. 16.
